Prades Mountain Range
The Prades mountains are especially frequented and esteemed by nature-lovers. It is an exceptional ecosystem protected under the "Plan of Natural Interest Spaces" ("Plan de Espacios de Interés Natural" - PEIN) of Catalonia.
Due to the peculiar climate conditions, Winter temperatures are very, very low and the snow is abundant-such are the peculiarities that make the zone an ecosystem unique in the whole country.
In the Prades mountain range, the countless itineraries are clearly marked in site, and there are also mountain guidebooks specialized in the area, so that excursionists and hill climbers of any age or level are able to discover the range of contrasts offered by its awesome richness and beauty.
